What is Ancestral Astrology? Ancestry, Past Lives, & Some Crazy Stories
Have you ever wondered how your Family fits into your birth chart? And if there’s a way to understand how your family here on earth and those in spirit are linked to your Karma and Past lives?
I get it, because this was ALL I could think about when I started studying astrology. I knew there had to be a link (or several) within the birth chart illuminating the story of Ancestral Karma in the birth chart and it turns out I was right. And the cherry on top was that I discovered through countless karmic astrology readings and past life regressions that it’s all linked.
If you’re anything like me you’re likely obsessed with getting to the bottom of who you are and what your purpose is here on earth. And part of that purpose is almost always coded within the family line. These are the souls you incarnated very intentionally with to learn MAJOR soul lessons.
Whether it was untangling the wounding within my soul, and those around me or
learning what made me feel whole again... I knew this was the stuff I came here to do after years of feeling completely lost in my purpose.
I knew I needed to talk about this topic in great detail and so this episode of the It’s Karmic Podcast was born.
I get this question a lot…
Are past lives connected to ancestry? Are they two different things? And what I want to show you today is that they really are so intertwined.
I have this theory, but this is one of those energetic theories that I'll never get to prove until I pass on to the next life and get to be soul energy and soul essence and have the knowing that exists beyond the physical realm. But my theory through hundreds of Karmic Astrology readings and many Past Life Regressions is that we incarnate with a soul contract and these lessons we want to learn and we come into lives and families that we're often repeating the signatures and people and soul groups with, which we'll talk about, but we come into situations that are going to echo our karma or echo our past life signatures and the lessons we intend to work through.
We go through all this shit as children and we go through all these major lessons, some of them really hard, some of them that, you know, bash our ability to feel visible in this life.
Some of them make us feel unsafe. Some of them that make us feel unloved. Some of them that make us feel like we have to control everything or a grip for everything. Sometimes it's just that everything's joyful and playful and we don't end up cultivating any responsibility.
I believe we come in and we go through these lessons so that we can hit our Saturn return (sometimes earlier depending on the soul, for me it was at my 3rd Saturn square) and we finally wake up and we think “Oh crap. Now I really need to untangle all of the karma that was presented to me that I relived so that it would be remembered inside of my soul energy, inside of my body. And now I'm going to do the work to untangle it.”
The thing about karmic wounding is if it wasn’t presented in our youth we would never get to the point of wanting to heal it in our adult years. If we didn't have experiences in childhood that prompted a need to learn whatever your soul lessons are, why would you even bother with the great work?
Here’s what you need to know about Ancestral Karmic Astrology
What you are learning through your family is part of your karmic lessons
You were very intentional as a soul in choosing the family you incarnated into. Whether that was because you have been in this family before or because they were an energetic match to the soul lessons you are here to learn on earth. Your family, for better or worse, are the mirrors you chose to sort through major lessons in this incarnation with.
Your relationship to your ancestry is in your birth chart
Within your birth chart are key points, like the IC (read the full post on the IC here) which are there to help you uncover your ancestral karma through your birth chart. Your chart is a map of your ancestral blueprint and is one of the most potent tools to untangle your soul lessons in this life. Through major archetypal expressions, energies, and frequencies - this is the key to decoding and liberating yourself from karmic wounding by uncovering the medicines and magicks in your family line.
There are repeated patterns between you and your parents in your birth chart
