What is Uranian Astrology?
Uranian Astrology, also known as the Hamburg School of Astrology, is a modern branch of astrology developed in the early 20th century by Alfred Witte, a German astrologer. It differs from traditional astrology in several key ways:
Transneptunian Planets & Asteroids: Uranian Astrology introduces eight hypothetical planets, which are not part of the classical or modern planetary systems. These planets—Cupido, Hades, Zeus, Poseidon, and more —are believed to have significant influences, though they are not physically observable.
Midpoints: A central technique in Uranian Astrology is the use of midpoints, which is the halfway point between two planets. This is considered a potent area in a chart, revealing hidden dynamics and potential influences.
No House System: Uranian Astrology often ignores the traditional use of houses, which are key to other forms of astrology. Instead, it focuses on planetary aspects, midpoints, and the hypothetical planets.
