Aries Full Moon
The Aries Full Moon on October 17th is exact at 4:26 AM PT/ 7:26 AM ET.
This Full Moon brings a pack, a punch, and an intensity I almost shied away from writing to you about.
Love, I know you’re tired…
And I wish I could tell you that it was all sunshine and rainbows, but here we are on the pinnacle of yet another intense and transformative moment.
Anyone else have transformation fatigue?
First I want to remind you of what I’ve been having to remind myself of A LOT.
It’s okay not to be okay, it’s okay to be a wreck, it’s okay to feel your feelings and most of all… it’s okay to be angry right now.
This moon has the under current of Sacred Rage… a fire building in the belly like the boiling of the proverbial witches cauldron.
So let’s dive in…
This Full Moon in Aries falls at 24º opposing the sun in Libra bringing the natural polarity between these two signs to the forefront. This is the axis between I and them, me and the other, and how you meet yourself versus how you meet those you form bonds with.
Aries seeks power. It seeks to inspire you to look at things differently, make intense changes, move quickly and above all keep moving forward with your head held high. Aries brings the inspiration of moving through paths unknown, like an explorer cutting through jungle leaves, you never know what you’ll find but you’re willing to blaze the trail.
Aries is the leader, the trail blazer, the initiator and somewhere within your chart this energy is the guiding force for a particular part of your life. Do you know what that is? (Psst, look to the house ruled by Aries in your chart for the answer.)
While the moon illuminates the sun with this Axis the question becomes how do you express yourself, while still remaining in balance with others?
How do you initiate your desires while checking in on your impact on those around you?
And for most people the question is…
How do you stop sacrificing yourself for the comfort of others? And where has this created chaos in your life?
The Moon is exact the Dark Feminine Goddess Eris at 24º of Aries stirring up the deepest well of sacred rage, inner fire, and injustice within the psyche (the moon). This conjunction forms a fusion of the energy of your subconscious, your inner landscape, your body, and your emotions to FEEL the injustice, imbalance, and anger that is being presented in the world right now.
You might see these imbalances in your personal life, your work, your relationships, or outside of you presented by the media. And as Chiron, the wounded healer, inches closer and closer to Eris this energy will only continue to rise.
Eris is sacred rage. Eris is fire. She is the Dark Feminine warrior. She is chaos.
But she is also discord which can be “lack of harmony between notes sounding together.”
This is the area of your life that is out of tune, and the inner turmoil it creates within you.
In the book Discovering Eris by Keiron Le Grice he presents the idea that Eris might be more fitting to rule of Libra as this energy is about injustice and disharmony.
The thing about Libra season is that it will always present imbalances so that you can spot them. (Much like what happened one year ago, on October 7th, of course during an Aries/Libra eclipse axis.)
And with Chiron in the mix your sense of identity, strength, and ability to exert yourself might be in question?
This full moon is only fueled by a hard aspect to Mars in Cancer, and Pluto in Capricorn.
The energy of the God of War in Cancer is never a comfortable energy to behold as Mars does not particularly thrive within the emotional depths of Cancer. These can be moments when emotions become hysterical and lead the way, without the balance of logic. But also moments fueled by fear, as Cancer is one of the signs particularly linked to fear (and that feeling in the pit of your stomach.) The question is will you take your actions from the rage and fear in your belly, or will you let the emotion ebb and flow within you and allow yourself to come back to homeostasis?
With the tension from Pluto radiating in from its final moments in Capricorn, you could be presented with the need to finish what was started in 2008, and yet the desire to burn it all down. This is the moment to see and finalize the alchemization process you have been moving through for 14+ years.
What foundation has crumbled? Where have you built a new one?
Be careful not to burn the village you built, just because you can.
And where have you not processed the anger that the loss, the grief, the rebuilding has stirred within you - it’s time to come to terms with at least some of this.
I don’t know about you, but I still haven’t fully processed the loss of the world we once knew. I'm still angry, and I feel a powerful rage of injustice coursing through my veins when I think about how the rug was pulled out from under us. Even though my soul knows it is all for our divine path forward, I still have to process this rage. I still have to process the collapse of everything we knew, just like you do.
Did you think things would be different? Feel it to heal it.
And while this Full Moon forms a supportive conversation with the Asteroid Persephone in Sagittarius while forming severe tension with Venus in Scorpio.
These are invitations into the underworld. In fact, if you’re anything like me right now things have been so chaotic, so intense, you might have been in the escaping realm and not even realize you in fact have stumbled into the underworld.
I find myself suddenly in the under current of the realm of Hades presented with my rage, my growth, my own personal optimistic spark challenged. “What is there to believe in?” I question as my brain aches from what I’m moving through and yet I know.. I know this is not permanent and somewhere in this underworld there is a reclamation of the light.
Can you feel it?
But first, I think, we must get angry.
Angry at all the things we haven’t processed.
Angry at all the dreams we had that have turned into dust in the wind.
Angry at the loss, the grief, the shit storm.
Angry at the harm done to others.
Angry at the bombs dropped, the wars waged, the helplessness we feel.
Angry at ourselves and the big part we play in creating our own suffering.
Angry at the misalignments in our own life.
Yes, we must get angry.
For the world is a mirror. So what are you seeing?
And so I am here in my sacred rage, feeling, screaming, ripping.
I hold up my full chalice this full moon to you, my community, and say cheers. Let’s celebrate the little bit of madness that comes from feeling the world transforming before our eyes like we never thought possible.
And only then can we change it.
